I WOULD like to open this column by welcoming our newest GABN Committee Member - Matt Linsley. Matt is the co-owner, with Kayleen, from Acacia Caravan Park & Holiday Units. His understanding and experience in the Victorian visitor economy will be a very welcome addition to the Committee.

By the time this edition goes to print the restrictions related to mandatory isolation will have changed and now we are no longer required to isolate after testing positive to COVID-19, however, isolation for positive cases is still strongly recommended. Requirements for close contacts like continually testing negative on a rapid antigen test will become strong recommendations – joining the strong recommendation to wear a mask indoors, which will remain in place.

Businesses are able to get free RATs through GABN for staff and a supply of masks are also readily available for anyone wanting to make them available to customers and or staff. If you would like to take up this offer please contact Phillipa Cairns on pcairns@ararat.vic.gov.au and place a request.
